  1. Today, we are showing our results of the three graphs we were supposed to complete over this weekend for homework. For the rest of the people who did not complete the work are to get help from their partners in their groups in order to be caught up.

For trial one (while the car slows down) the desired results were to be shaped in a curve like angle. The desired results for trial number two(constant speed) were to be shaped in a line going down in a diagonal direction. The desired results for the third trial(getting faster)was to be shaped in an upward diagonal shape. For our assignment tonight we are to blog about our results and explain why or why they do not look similar to the desired results.

Our graph and Mr. Lanes graph are different because the person with the timers didn't react the same as he did. Also in trial 3 the person with the 50 yrd. line timer was a little too fast. And in trial 2 the people with 50 and 75 yrd. line were a little slow.

We whent over our graphs do with speed vs. time.
Our graph did not come out to point. The proble was that the students did not take down the right times therfor giving us the rong graph.

After examining our data and comparing it to the expected results, we concluded that out graphs were similar but not quite as desired. We believe that our first timer (the one standing at the 25 yard line) may have had a problem with their stopwatch.

The first speed in Trial 1 and Trial 2 did not follow the general trend and upset our results. We also believe that since Mr. Lane is not a professional driver, there may have been some imperfections in his speed. For example, on Trial 3, he may have started slowing down early to avoid running into an object or wall. This may have invalidated his claim that he was consistently accelerated.
